Synergy supports real-time co-authoring of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files in Microsoft Office Online.

With Microsoft Office Co-authoring, multiple people can edit a single file simultaneously and all changes will be automatically saved back to Synergy as a draft version.

When multiple people are editing a file, their names will appear in the upper right corner. Also, your collaborator's text cursor will appear in a unique color and their name will be displayed next to it.

To open a Microsoft Office file in co-authoring mode, you can:

  • Select a file in Synergy Drive and click on Open with Office Online from the toolbar
  • Select a file in Synergy Drive and right click on the file, then select Open with Office Online
